What is BuddyMQ?
A managed platform to run isolated MQTT broker instances with TLS, usage visibility, and lifecycle operations through a web console.
Is this the same as the open-source broker?
BuddyMQ is built on the open-source BuddyMQ Broker. The managed service adds hosted provisioning, operations, and billing so you can run brokers without managing infrastructure.
Which MQTT version is supported?
BuddyMQ supports the broker protocol set available in the current release. Broader protocol support is planned.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed per broker instance. Each subscription applies to a single instance. Quotas (bandwidth, messages) are enforced per instance with no shared pool across instances. No extra charges by default; if an instance reaches quota, that instance pauses unless overage is enabled.
